Yael, in response to your previous post; I too would wish to impose the rule 'no photos of dead animals', but I love you and celebrate you for who you are.
So, although you know it breakith my heart:
Eliza's One a Week

DAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHLINGS

Dear all

Hello from me!  Your wonderful co-host.  AKA the weaker link.

Welcome to the wonderful double world of LECKY!!

Hopefully I will soon get round to actually writing something PROPER, alas I have been rather busy of late with other peoples blogs - yuck!  So hopefully things will calm down a bit and I will be able to once again blog about all things cultural soon.

Until then I will now attempt to publish one of my previous 'one a week' blog posts here - and it will truly be a shared platform of joy.

Until then, be fabulous people, at all possible moments.

SO THIS IS A THING

It turns out that winged cats are an actual thing. There have been extensively documented historical cases, with the earliest reported case attributed to none other than Henry David Thoreau. Thoreau writes about a female cat owned by one Mr. Gillian Baker, and describes the animal down to the colour of her fur. Truly the most disturbing part of his account is his mention that the cat's owners "gave me a pair of her 'wings,' which I keep still". Put the membrane down, Henry.

So, obviously, we started poking around looking for images of winged cats because, well, WINGED CATS. Here is a small collection curated by the LECKY, for your enjoyment. This bizarrely angelic mutation - apparently caused by a genetic skin disorder called feline cutaneous asthenia - has spurred lots of special people to stick fake wings on their poor defenseless cats, either digitally or physically; sculpt gargoyles (of the New-Age Shoppe variety) and, most importantly, get a tattoo.

Hooray!
